Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – Gateway to Morocco
As your plane descends, Marrakech welcomes you with its ochre colors and warm air. Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you’ll be greeted by our team and transferred to your traditional riad in the Medina or a boutique hotel. Take time to relax or explore the vibrant streets nearby.
Day 2: Discover Marrakech – Palaces, Souks & Stories
After breakfast, embark on a guided cultural tour of Marrakech with a licensed local guide. Walk through the maze of the old medina, discover the majestic Bahia Palace, the ancient Koutoubia Mosque, and the lively souks of Jemaa El-Fna. Today we journey southward, following the palm groves to where the Sahara Desert begins. Along the way, we picnic in the wild, scanning the golden plains for desert animals. By late afternoon, we reach our luxury desert camp in the Erg Chegaga dunes, where camels await to take you into the heart of the sand sea.
Day 6: From Chegaga to Ait Benhaddou via Lake Iriki
We traverse the vast dry lake of Iriki, a magical and surreal landscape. Our off-road adventure continues through stony desert and hidden nomadic trails until we reach the majestic Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic film location.
